A Course in Miracles
A Course In Miracles is not a religion and not a church. There is no dogma, just simple lessons. The Course teaches that we are all children of a loving God. We are all one. I learned a simple act of kindness toward another human being benefits all mankind. Any act of violence or cruelty harms all mankind. We all carry the Christ consciousness within us. The Course teaches us to make decisions by asking ourselves, "Am I doing this from fear or love"? We are not here to be in judgment of others. Here are a few of the thoughts about forgiveness from the Course:
Ask not to
be forgiven, for this has already been What could you want forgiveness cannot give? Do you want peace? Forgiveness offers it. Do you want happiness, a quiet mind, a certainty of purpose, and a sense of worth and beauty that transcends the world? Do you want care and safety, and the warmth of sure protection always? Do you want a quietness that cannot be disturbed, a gentleness that never can be hurt, a deep, abiding comfort, and a rest so perfect it can never be upset? All this forgiveness offers you. The easiest way to get started studying A Course in Miracles is to read Dr. Gerald Jampolsky’s book, Love Is Letting Go of Fear. This wonderful little book is what I gave to a writer from Germany who simply could not understand the Healing Power of Forgiveness and didn’t want to take the time to read A Course in Miracles. Another book that I highly recommend is A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. Based on the teachings in A Course in Miracles, Marianne Williamson describes her own journey, to love instead of fear, with humor and candor. "Whenever I see someone else as guilty, I am reinforcing my own sense of guilt and unworthiness. I cannot forgive myself unless I am willing to forgive others. It does not matter what I think anyone has done to me in the past or what I think I may have done. Only through forgiveness can my release from hate and fear be complete"—A Course in Miracles

transformation of the minds and lives of inmates, their friends and family
members throughout the world, bringing about true, long-lasting healing and
subsequently a reduction in recidivism. |
